Far-right movements increasingly use gender as a political battleground, targeting young people through anti-gender narratives, misogyny and attacks on feminist and LGBTQIA+ rights. Addressing these dynamics is essential to strengthening democratic resilience across Europe.
The YOU-DARE project has launched its Call for Pilot Actions, inviting organisations and stakeholders to develop local initiatives that prevent youth radicalisation by tackling the gendered narratives promoted by far-right movements.
Ten pilot actions will be funded with €16,000 each to support activities running for up to six months, between 30 November 2026 and 31 May 2027. Eight grants are reserved for organisations based in Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, while two grants are open to applicants from other EU Member States.
The call is open until 6 September 2026 (23:59 CEST).
This initiative is part of the YOU-DARE project, in which Smart Venice is a partner, and represents an important opportunity for organisations working on gender equality, youth participation, democracy, anti-discrimination and the prevention of extremism.
If your organisation is developing community-based approaches to counter hate, promote inclusion and strengthen democratic values, we encourage you to explore this funding opportunity and share it within your networks.
